Fontainebleau is only one hour from Paris on the A6 motorway.

You can get there by train in 45 minutes from Paris – Gare de Lyon

There is a regular bus service (Véolia) to the Château and the hotel, from Fontainebleau-Avon station (15 minute journey).

From Paris: Take the southern ring road (périphérique sud) in the direction of A6 Lyon, exit Fontainebleau.

BY TRAIN

From Paris

At the Gare de Lyon in Paris, take a train in the direction of Montargis Sens and alight at Fontainebleau Avon Station.
The journey takes approximately 40 minutes.
Trains run from 00.34am to 10.46 pm from Paris to Fontainebleau and from 5. 24 am to 10.40pm from Fontainebleau to Paris.
Buses to the centre of Fontainebleau (AB line) can be caught in front of Fontainebleau-Avon station.

BY local BUS

From FONTAINEBLEAU - AVON Station to the centre of Fontainebleau take the AB line bus. 
These buses run at approximately 15 minute intervals. Tickets cost €1. 40.
A book of 10 tickets can be purchased at the Tourist Office.
For the Château de Fontainebleau or the Tourist Office, alight at the stop marked “château”.
